Morning Encouragement – Time

As I awoke this morning, I thought about the changing seasons. In our youth, we think the days will never pass or that we’ll have a never-ending supply of them but then one day we look at ourselves in the mirror and we see how old we have become and how little we have to show for the years. Equally, we see our children go from infants to adults seemingly overnight.  Regretfully, the metronome of time has never changed not to speed up so we can do ___ nor slow down so that we can _____ for a longer period. While we cannot control the passing of time, we can control how we spend the time. If the time we are given is spent foolishly or unwisely, we will have nothing to show for life. Conversely, If we spend time wisely, we will have a good reward for our efforts.

Author Michael Altshuler said, “The bad news is that time flies. The good news is you are the pilot”.
