Daily Psalm 5/6/2021

As we have heard, so have we seen
In the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God:
God will establish her forever. Selah.
We have thought of Your lovingkindness, O God,
In the midst of Your temple.
As is Your name, O God,
So is Your praise to the ends of the earth;
Your right hand is full of righteousness (rightness, justice) (Psalms 48:8-10).

We do not always know what the Lord is doing in our lives because all we can see are the storms that surround us. Storms are not pleasant because they tend to be oppressing and dampen our enthusiasm both for life and ministry. Yet, once we get through the storms, we can see the lessons we learned and how G_d used them to build and strengthen us for the days ahead. Above all kings and all lords, there is the Lord G_d who is above everything and we can trust Him.

Father,

Thank you for being the Lord of my life. I have no power to control the storms but, I can learn through them and rest in them. You are a righteous and just G_d and everybody who has put their trust in you has never been ashamed of doing so. I pray for my law enforcement officers, EMTs, military, ministerial communities, and families. I pray especially for those who are enduring persecution and illness. May your good Spirit be with me, my families, my city, state, and US
