Daily Psalm 7/13/2021

Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand,
Upon the son of man whom You have made strong for Yourself.
Then we shall not turn back from You;
Revive us and we will call on Your name.
Restore us, O LORD God of hosts;
Cause Your face to shine on us [in favor and approval], and we shall be saved (Psalms 80:17-19).

The young man was told repeatedly “do not go out sailing without somebody with you”. The young man decided to not listen to the advice. The first two times he had no problems and became cocky. One day a storm blew up and he was caught in a storm and the boat capsized. The young man escaped on a raft and was on the water for many days. At first, he dreamed of luxurious meals and fine wine. For a little while, the young man thought he’d be missed so he hoped the time being left afloat would be prolonged. At the end of his rations, he cried out for help and when he was rescued, he was so glad to reach shore that nothing else mattered. In similar ways, many of you are afloat on a life raft wondering if anybody even cares about you. I want to tell you that Jesus cares about you and wants you to come home.

Father,

Thank you for your awesome love for mankind. I pray for my families, for those who are shipwrecked and looking for a lifeline. I pray for these people that they will find a lifeline in my writings and seek you where they are. I pray for the law enforcement communities, military communities, teachers, preachers, City of Stacy, State of MN, and my USA.
