Daily Psalm 9/4/2021

Your word is very pure (refined);
Therefore Your servant loves it.
I am small and despised,
But I do not forget Your precepts.
Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness,
And Your law is truth.
Trouble and anguish have found me,
Yet Your commandments are my delight and my joy (Psalms 119:140-143).

We have choices in life about how we will respond to trouble, temptations, and the world’s words. We can either let troubles beat us into submission or rise above them. We can see the size of the trouble and think, “it’s just too big for me” or, we see the trouble but also see the victory. When the 12 spies were sent into the land, only 2 of them saw the victory that awaited them if they would remain obedient. Naturally, the remaining 10 saw the problem and encouraged the people to stay where they were (Numbers 14). In the same way, when the Lord leads us into our ministries, we can also turn it down and cite the hardships that would face us. When we are lead into the land, the Lord will not hide the difficulties that await us. The key to victory in Jesus is to “honor His commands and precepts” with a willing heart.

I pray that my heart will always be open to hearing your word. I know that it is impossible to please you if we have no faith in you. So, please help me to never break faith with you or my brethren. I desire above all things that you will heal this broken world and that righteousness be once again the foundation on which this nation is predicated. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray.
