But I will sing of your strength;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been to me a fortress
and a refuge in the day of my distress.
O my Strength, I will sing praises to you,
for you, O God, are my fortress,
the God who shows me, steadfast love. Psalms 59:16-17
While no one likes conflict and struggles, but it is in those times where we have the sweetest time of praise and worship. For some odd reason, struggles galvanize us and cause us to hold harder to the hand of G-d more than all of the peaceful days could ever bring. If I had to choose between knowing the right words and having to deal with struggles, I would choose the latter because from those times I learn to trust my Lord for my daily needs.
Your word says, that if we abide in you, you will abide in us that we can ask what are in need of and it will be done (John 15:7). In the prayer of Moses the man of G-d it states “thou a thousand shall fall at thy side, and 10,000 at your right it shall not come nigh to thee” (Psalms 91:7). So, when troubles come and they most certainly will, please help me to keep my eyes on you and hold on though the storms last for days, weeks, months, or a single night. I pray for those who are going through storms that these words be an encouragement for their lives. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world.
