Daily Psalm for 1/29/2022

But I, O LORD, cry to you;
in the morning my prayer comes before you.
O LORD, why do you cast my soul away?
Why do you hide your face from me?
Afflicted and close to death from my youth up,
I suffer your terrors; I am helpless.
Your wrath has swept over me;
your dreadful assaults destroy me.
They surround me like a flood all day long;
they close in on me together.
You have caused my beloved and my friend to shun me;
my companions have become darkness. Psalms 88:13-18

The Devil, as the master salesman that he is, puts on a presentation to get his pawn to buy into the offer. If someone is with us trying to talk us out of action, the Devil will play that person against us. Unfortunately, the bill will come when we least expect it. Once we buy into the plan, our world is altered in a way we do not expect. While there are prayers that move our hearts, nothing compares to living free of sin’s entanglements.

Father,

Sin is a real part of our world. The Devil is not a dimwhit nor is he is foolish. This entity knows what it is doing and has no compunction. Those that followed the Devil paid the ultimate price for their actions. You, on the other hand, desire great things from us not because you think we are “so perfect” but because you have invested a tremendous amount of time into building us. When tempted, help me to pull down the window shades of my heart and turn my eyes to your Word. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
