Daily Psalm for 2/5/2022

The floods have lifted up, O LORD,
the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods lift up their roaring.
Mightier than the thunders of many waters,
mightier than the waves of the sea,
the LORD on high is mighty! Psalms 93:3-4

There is an inevitability about life and that is, “we will have troubles and storms will destroy even the strongest”. . Having faith in the Lord is an important element in life. When storms come, at first it doesn’t seem too bad and we think we can endure it because “the Lord this in hand”. Then, the storms grow worst and our house shakes and our covering is ripped away and we think “where is G-d?”. When our world has been shattered into tiny pieces we think, “There is no G-d!” and we cave in to anger and bitterness like Naomi. Dutch Resistance worker, CorrieTenBoom had put her life on the line in support of the Jewish people and for her native land against Hitler. She could have become as bitter and resentful as the evil that pervaded her nation. But listen to her words: No pit is so deep that God is not deeper still“ (Corrie TenBoom).

Thank you for the storms that come to challenge our faith. I have come to know that you do not deliver us out of storms, you deliver us through storms. You do not remove the evil, you help us to conquer it and turn it from the darkness to the light. Please watch over those today who are enduring storms that are riddling their lives and leaving holes in their world. May this website ever be used for your glory. I pray for my families today that you would put a hedge of protection about them. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
