Daily Psalm for 2/20/2022

Turn, O LORD, deliver my life;
save me for the sake of your steadfast love.
For in death, there is no remembrance of you;
in Sheol who will give you praise? Psalms 6:4-5

When we are in the throes of sin, we relish it and think the fun will never end. Then one day we wake up, just as we have before, and face a new world in which the joy has vanished and fear sets in. Sir Anthony Hopkins speaking to acting students who wanted to be rich and famous, said: “that once you reach the top of the tree, you will find it all to be a lie”. In the same way, when we walk on Sin’s ground, we think we are in charge only to find ourselves to be the victims of a vicious joke meant for our demise.

A sin is a tool of the Devil and he knows how to use it, how much pressure to put on us, and just when to pull the lever. Help us as we approach Easter to put sin in its place and replace it with your grace. Please help me to let go of every sin and the things that entangle my soul that I may walk in you all of the days of my life. I pray for my families that you will watch over them whether they are near or far, in Your camp or the Devil’s, and that these families may find peace in You.

I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
