Daily Psalm for 3/6/2022

Make your face shine on your servant;
save me in your steadfast love!
O LORD, let me not be put to shame,
for I call upon you;
let the wicked be put to shame;
let them go silently to Sheol.
Let the lying lips be mute,
which speak insolently against the righteous
in pride and contempt. Psalms 31:16-18

One of the harshest judgments one can receive is, “away from me because I don’t even know who you are” (Matthew 7:21-23). If the sum total of our service to the Lord is modeled after the Sanhedrin, we’re in for a big surprise and it won’t be fun. We can pray this prayer from sunup to sundown and still never touch the heart of G-d. We can say prayers over people that bring them to tears and still not have touched the heart of G-d. Obedience and faithfulness are “salvation 101” and are essential to our growth. When we are obedient and faithful, we can stumble over our words, say the wrong word, slaughter the English language, and still move the heart of G-d. The world has its ways but it is the Lord’s purposes that win the day.

You desire faithfulness in our inward parts because it is from that foundation that you build your church. May my heart ever be faithful to you even when all I see is the possibility of defeat. May I learn from Moses today Lord and may You always find me faithful. I pray for the Ukrainians who are fighting for their lives against Mother Russia. My brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus are remaining faithful to you so I know that you will see them through whatever storms may come. I pray for my family today that you will watch over them wherever they may go. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
