Daily Psalm for 3/12/2022

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,
over the man who carries out evil devices!
Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath!
Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.
For the evildoers shall be cut off,
but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land. Psalms 37:7-9

I think how appropriate this snippet is with what is going on in the world today. The news channels talk about the troubles of the world, the war in the Ukraine, race wars, and political instability. G-d’s word admonishes us to trust Him even when we cannot see Him moving on our behalf. Because of this, the tendency is to take matters into our hands and it is with this that the Devil wins. Remember the Devil plays both sides in a battle and in arguments. As we move closer to Easter, I encourage you to take time each day to shut off the news, stay out of FaceBook, and take time with your family.

Father,

The Devil is a liar and his sole intention is to cause problems whenever and wherever he can. Our world is topsy-turvey Lord and we desperately need you. I pray for peace over my nation and my world. I especially pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia that they may cease what they are doing and find common grounds. The Devil knows his time is short so he is causing as much mayhem as he can while it is in his power to do so. I pray for the people that have been knowingly or unknowingly under the Devil’s thumb that they may find freedom in you. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
