Daily Psalm for 3/15/2022

The wicked borrows but does not pay back,
but the righteous is generous and gives;
for those blessed by the LORD shall inherit the land,
but those cursed by him shall be cut off.
The steps of a man are established by the LORD
when he delights in his way;
though he falls, he shall not be cast headlong,
for the LORD upholds his hand. Psalms 37:21-24

The word “accountability” which means “being held responsible for our actions” is not popular in modern-day circles. The reason for this is, we are not allowed to get away with shoddy workmanship. In the Kingdom of G-d, accountability is at the root of our calling. The Lord holds us responsible for everything we do on earth and that includes our dealings with the world. The world, on the other hand, is fickle because it allows us to forget our covenants with everyone but the person we are speaking to. When our ways please the Lord, He makes even our enemies be at peace with us (Proverbs 16:7).

Please help me to daily honor my vows to you. You are not like the world, you do not make sign agreements, put up collateral, and/or say a million prayers, it is quite simply a “gentleman’s agreement” which is sealed with a handshake. Your greatest desire for us is that we would live a peaceful life that is not hindered by sin and that no matter what happens, we will not have a reason to be afraid. A good name is more important to you than all of the sacrifices for sin (Proverbs 22:1). Please forgive me for every time I have not honored my vows or I have not fulfilled everything you have asked of me. I pray for your help and guidance during this Lenten season to me prepare for a new life in you. I pray for the Ukrainians and Russians that they will make peace and find common grounds that peace will reign. I pray for those who are negatively impacted by the COVID 19 and its twisted sister Omicron. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
