Hear, O my people, and I will speak;
O Israel, I will testify against you.
I am God, your God. Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you;
your burnt offerings are continually before me.
I will not accept a bull from your house
or goats from your folds.
For every beast of the forest is mine,
the cattle on a thousand hills.
I know all the birds of the hills,
and all that moves in the field is mine.
“If I were hungry, I would not tell you,
for the world and its fullness are mine.
Do I eat the flesh of bulls
or drink the blood of goats?
Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving,
and perform your vows to the Most High,
and call upon me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” Psalms 50:8-15
Everything on earth belongs to the Lord and that includes us. The best gift we can ever give the Lord is the throne of our soul and open all of the doors no matter how sad or embarrassed we may be by lies behind it. Faith is not something we are born with, in fact, it is quite the opposite. Faith comes by obedience because when we do what is asked of us and see the Lord’s deliverance a seed is planted. The first seed we ever plant is “salvation” compelling us to be baptized. The type of water we pour on the seed will greatly determine if it will grow. The two types of water are obedience and doubt. When we pour out obedience, fruit grows in the same way that adding wood, oxygen, and heat to fire makes it grow in intensity. Pouring doubt on the seed will poison it and alter the fruit. The choice is up to us.
As the days of Lent pass and we eagerly look forward to Easter and celebrate your son’s resurrection, I pray that I may always be obedient to what you asked of me. I know that when I sin it breaks your heart because you want only the best for us. When I sin there is no sacrifice that will be good enough to make the pain go away even if all of the money in the world were offered. The choices we make today set the course of our life. I want the fruit of your Kingdom operating in and through this nation. I know that it is so far from your desire that the opposite side of prophecy is working in it. May this penitent heart bring you joy and please forgive this nation just as you have forgiven me. I pray for your peace over Ukraine and Russia please deal with the people according to your mercies. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
