Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins,
and blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from your presence,
and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit. Psalms 51:7-12
When we become willing partners to our demise, we rarely see it coming because sin is pleasurable for a season. The world will not bat an eye when sin is committed in fact, the world rejoices in it. The problem is, the outside world does not see the havoc our actions have caused us because they are not held accountable for our actions. David’s tet to tet with Bathsheba had been the great King’s undoing. Confessing his sin although forgiven in the Kingdom of Heaven would not stop the events that would unfold. I counsel you DO NOT cave into sin that would lead you to have to learn this painful Psalm. If you are dealing with sin in your life, let this Easter season be a New Year for you and your family.
Sin disgraces your servants. Please help me today to make wise choices about my life so that this Psalm does not become part of my lesson plan. You desire great things from us and your plans are set and ready to go when we are obedient. I pray that this Easter season is a brand new year for my readers that whatever they are dealing with they’ll come to grips with it no matter what it may cost them in this world. I pray for Ukraine and Russia that their meetings will be productive and the two sides learn from each other and find a resolution. I pray for my families and friends who are dealing with illnesses and injuries that just don’t seem to go away. May your good Spirit who is my teacher, counselor, and friend be with each and every one of you. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
