Daily Psalm for 3/30/2022

Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins,
and blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from your presence,
and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit. Psalms 51:8-12

There is a side to sin that is often overlooked and that is, “trust”. When we take something without asking for it, what we are saying is, “I need this but I don’t believe you would give it to me or let me use it”. David had taken the wife of Uriah and in doing so broke G-d’s law. But hear what the Lord had to say “I gave you everything and if that wasn’t enough all you had to do was ask and I would have gladly given it to you” (2 Samuel 12:8-9). The Devil knows all too well how gracious the Lord G-d is but he also knows that sin takes everything and leaves an abandoned soul starving for forgiveness and hope that only comes from the Father.

Thank you for the atoning blood of your son Jesus. I pray that you will forgive this war-crazy world and break the power of the Prince of the Air over this nation and world. I know that you present the opportunities for us to pray over the mess of this world that it be healed or allow it to fall on its ears. In Ezekiel, it says to the Prophet “I looked over the banister of Heaven to see if anyone would intercede I found none so I destroyed” (Ezekiel 22:30). Lord I pray for my nation and world at large for your forgiveness and healing – please do not destroy the earth nor the people in it. I pray for the Ukraine and Russia that they will resolve their difficulties and find inroads to healing. I pray for my family that you will watch over them today and always. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
