Daily Psalm 4/9/2022

I cry to you, O LORD;
I say, “You are my refuge,
my portion in the land of the living.”
Attend to my cry,
for I am brought very low!
Deliver me from my persecutors,
for they are too strong for me!
Bring me out of prison,
that I may give thanks to your name!
The righteous will surround me,
for you will deal bountifully with me. Psalms 142:5-7

It is said, “A promise is only as good as the person or company making it” (Jennifer Kennedy Dean). Consider how companies put on a good face for a commercial making their product seem to be genuine. Where the rubber hits the road is the point at which the “promise” is put to the test. In the same way, we are promised that sin can be forgiven no matter the gravity (Matthew 6:12). Many people have caved into sin in their lives and have had to crawl back to the Lord to beg for his forgiveness. In the closing days of the Easter season, I submit to you that the Lord’s hand is outstretched to you no matter how bad your situation may be. Don’t listen to the words of the fork-tongued snake who tells you, “there’s no hope” because there is always hope. I pray that you find peace in your life today.

Many have come back to you beaten, broken, in pain, and deeply regretting their foolishness. You have forgiven the blood guilt of their sins and welcomed them back like the Prodigal son with clean clothing and a hug. We may not like what you have to tell us nor be sent back to those we hurt to make restitution but we can be assured that no matter where you send us, Your Spirit will go with us to help us. Those who hold us to the fire and never forgive us pay a huge price when their situation turns sour and they find themselves on the short end of the stick. I ask for your forgiveness for the times I have offended the throne and my teacher the Holy Spirit. I pray for those who will come to you on Easter Sunday to be made new again may your good Spirit work with them now. Thank you for all that you do in and through these writings that many will come to know you through them. I pray for Ukraine and Russia that you will continue to work through this situation for your glory. I pray for my families and for those going through interminable issues that they will get peace in their lives to face the struggles ahead. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
