Daily Psalm 4/18/2022

I will remember the deeds of the LORD;
yes, I will remember your wonders of old.
I will ponder all your work,
and meditate on your mighty deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy.
What god is great like our God?
You are the God who works wonders;
you have made known your might among the peoples. Psalms 77:11-14

It has been said, “Life is unfair, uncaring, and painful” (Jim Butcher, American author). If we allow our enemy’s attacks to alter our perception of the world negatively, he has already won. When we turn our pain, wounds, and scars to the Father and allow Him the opportunity to work in our life those things lose their sting because they are replaced with joy. When we meditate on His word and allow them to fill the abyss of sorrow, it will not make the situation as though it never occurred but it will provide a way forward and steal the enemy’s thunder. The reason I believe that His word combines the sinful actions of His servants, like David, is that we would grow in understanding and allow David’s pain to direct the course of our life.

Your son Jesus’ Kangeroo court and subsequent crucifixion were unfair. Listening to the jeers and taunts of those who were healed and restored was absolutely sinful. The Sanhedrin should have been punished within an inch of their lives for what they did. Yet You did none of that instead, your son was resurrected, healed, and restored. We may be powerless to change our past just as Peter was unable to go back three days earlier and tell himself “don’t be afraid to confess Jesus”. Once the moment passes, it’s too late to undo the damage but we can confess our sins and ask for forgiveness and take steps to a brighter future because of Jesus. I pray for Ukraine and Russia, China and Taiwan, and the civil war brewing in our US.  I pray for my family and those negatively impacted by COVID. Please keep our foundation stable according to Your word. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
