LORD, you were favorable to your land;
you restored the fortunes of Jacob.
You forgave the iniquity of your people;
you covered all their sin. Selah
You withdrew all your wrath;
you turned from your hot anger.
Restore us again, O God of our salvation,
and put away your indignation toward us!
Will you be angry with us forever?
Will you prolong your anger to all generations? Psalms 85:1-5
When I first got saved and took all of the steps in obedience to the Lord, a light shined in my eyes and joy poured out of my heart like the river of Heidekel. The problem was that when the Lord brought me to the place of abundance, I tripped over temptation and became sinful. For over 10 years I struggled maritally, spiritually, and mentally. When I turned back to the Lord, as Peter had done, and was once again obedient to the Lord change began to occur in my life like plants that come to life after the rocks and protective covering are removed. It’s not been an easy journey and I tripped many times along the way but remained faithful to the Lord. Personal Note: I will be speaking on this expressly for the next 40 days until the Feast of First Fruits.
Sin is a blight! it destroys everything in its path and what it cannot destroy, it covers up the fruit of our previous labors. When your son died on the cross for our sins, he rebuilt the bridge between You and mankind. The Devil knows all too well that when we connect with you and are faithful there is nothing we cannot defeat so he lays hidden traps to catch us. While it is not his intention, the Devil’s traps serve a purpose and that is, to keep us humble. I know that by Your grace I am restored and that when I trip and fall I can still keep my eyes on you. I pray that you will restore our world and heal the divides that have been built up. The enemy of our soul has set out to conquer the world and he will play both sides of a war to get people to hate each other. I pray that the people of the world will open their eyes to see what he is doing and lay down their weapons of destruction and make inroads to healing. Please restore us again as You have done before. I pray for the military, law enforcement, and EMT communities that you will be with every one of them and bring them safely home. I pray over our politicians that you will continue to shake them to their core with the message of the Ephod so that they fully understand who they serve. I pray for the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and the USA may your Spirit fall fresh upon us. I pray for the truckers who carry supplies to our communities. I thank you for healing our land by rain that refreshes the land and the storms that shake the heart of mankind. I pray for those who need a special touch from you today. Finally, I pray that my words will always be an encouragement to all who read these words in Jesus’ name I pray. May your peace be upon my family, city, state, nation, and world. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer (Psalms 19:14).
