In many ways our lives are like a garden. If we put nothing into developing skills, relationships, and/or ministry we get nothing from life and become bored. Because we are responsible for our lives, we are the ones that must remove the rocks, cultivate the soil, and plant seeds according to their requirements. Remember, when G-d calls us to do anything, it is always in rough shape which requires that we supply the labor to build it. Although people may come alongside to help us the ultimate control is on our shoulders.
Readings: Genesis 6:14-41, Luke 13:16-19, 1 Corinthians 3:10-23, Psalms 82, Proverbs 24:30-34.
The expectations of life depend upon diligence; the mechanic that would perfect his work must first sharpen his tools. Confucius
Thank you for this beautiful season. As I look over my life, I pray that you will continue to guide my life. Help me to develop the land you have given me. I pray that my words will encourage people in their walk with you. I pray for our EMTs, Police, Military, Ministers, and service professionals that you will be with each of them. I pray continually that you will heal this land as only you know what it is going to take. Be with my readers today and everyday.
