Consider thoughtfully, you senseless (stupid ones) among the people;
And you [dull-minded] fools, when will you become wise and understand?
He who made the ear, does He not hear?
He who formed the eye, does He not see?
He who instructs the nations,
Does He not rebuke and punish,
He who teaches man knowledge?
The LORD knows the thoughts of man,
That they are a mere breath (vain, empty, futile) (Psalms 94:8-11).
One of the most difficult concepts to grasp about this “G_d of the Universe” is that He is not like mankind. Mankind tends to be “one-sided” that is, “G_d should always meet my needs but I don’t need to change my ways.” The Lord looks beyond the flesh to see what is going on inside our hearts and is not fooled by the words coming out of our mouths. G_d sees what we do and hears what we say when we think “no one has seen my misdeeds or heard my judgmental words”. Because of this, the Cross which stands on the mountain of Calvary that all who run to it are forgiven.
You know our strengths and weaknesses. If we think we are righteous and immune to failure, we delude ourselves. Because we cannot save ourselves, Jesus came at just the right time and the blood he shed on Calvary atoned for this broke down the wall between you and fallen mankind. Help me daily to cling hold of the horns of the altar and may my heart be open to you in all things. I pray for my families, my law enforcement officers, EMT staff, teachers, preachers, military members, my city of Stacy, my state of MN, my USA, and lastly, the ministry of encouragement that you have called me to.
He also chose David His servant
And took him from the sheepfolds;
From tending the ewes with nursing young He brought him
To shepherd Jacob His people,
And Israel His inheritance.
So David shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart;
And guided them with his skillful hands (Psalms 78:70-72).
David’s life and ministry stood in stark contrast to Israel’s unfaithfulness in the time of Saul. In the same way, when we walk in unfaithfulness and destruction finds its way to our doorstep, it may look like “the worst thing ever” and it proves out to be that way. The problem is, that just as surely as destruction wreaks havoc in our lives, it is also just the 1st act and a new act is about to begin. When Jesus came to this earth through Mary, the nation was standing on the edge of a cliff and about to jump. The Devil, our ardent enemy, stood ready to push them over the cliff and be done with them but then, the act ends a new one begins. When David became king over the combined nation, it was a new day and a new King and that is how it is with us His children.
There is no greater sign of love than for one person to lay down his/her life for his/her friends. When I walked in the counsel of the enemy, I did foolish things not considering who you are and what you stand for. Help me to walk in the counsel of G_dly and to stand in your judgment, not the world. I pray for my Law Enforcement Officers, EMT staff, Teachers, Preachers, military, my city of Stacy, my state of MN, and MY USA.
The [empty-headed] fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt and evil, and have committed repulsive injustice;
There is no one who does good.
God has looked down from heaven upon the children of men
To see if there is anyone who understands,
Who seeks after God [who requires Him, who longs for Him as essential to life].
Every one of them has turned aside and fallen away;
Together they have become filthy and corrupt;
There is no one who does good, no, not even one (Psalms 53:1-3).
While this Psalm appears to be talking to the world, I want you to consider that this is written to G_d’s children and the nation in particular. This Psalm is challenging the nation to take a hard look at his/her life to see if there is any way in them that is wrong and take steps towards reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5). We may never say, “there is no G_d” but will act and talk like it. Of course, mankind will listen with one ear and flush the information out the other and then wonder why their world has collapsed around them. I encourage you today to take a hard look at your life, to see if there is an area that is in disagreement with the Word of G_d.
One of your greatest desires for your children is that they would be happy and content. Sin is a seed that causes discontent, anger, frustration, and leads to war. The Devil knows this and all he needs is a small crack in a door or window to get into even the strongest of Christians. Please check my life to see if there is an area that is not surrendered to you and help me to bring you glory and honor in all that I do. Please be with my law enforcement officers, EMT staff, teachers, preachers, and military. Lord, we pray for rain upon our land.
O LORD, our Lord,
How majestic and glorious and excellent is Your name in all the earth!
You have displayed Your splendor above the heavens.
Out of the mouths of infants and nursing babes, You have established strength
Because of Your adversaries,
That You might silence the enemy and make the revengeful cease (Psalms 8:1-2).
One of the hardest things to comprehend, for me at least, is that the simplest things evade us. How is it possible that one little baby by his birth alone, which was prophecied over 200 years earlier, was missed by Israel’s teachers? The saving message of the cross has been around for over 2000 years and because of it several millions of people from every walk of life have come to accept Jesus as their personal savior. The reason G_d does not speak to the super-spiritual, the super-strong, and/or the super-educated is that He would have to get through their ego first.
May I be available to you today. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you. I pray for my law enforcement officers, EMT staff, Teachers, Preachers, military City of Stacy, State of MN, and my USA. I pray specifically for those in a need for a special touch from you today
Sing of the honor and glory and magnificence of His name;
Make His praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome and fearfully glorious are Your works!
Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will pretend to be obedient to You.
“All the earth will [bow down to] worship You [in submissive wonder],
And will sing praises to You;
They will praise Your name in song.” Selah (Psalms 66:1-4).
Praising G_d is not just a song nor a collection of songs, it is a lifestyle. This “lifestyle” says, “I will praise the Lord always by what I do, how I do it, and with what attitude I do it in”. We are tasked with deciding which G_d or god we will serve. If we praise the world, we must know that the grounds will shift unpredictably. If we praise the Lord, we can know that the foundation never changes (Matthew 7:24-27).
Thank you for a new week and a new month. You are an awesome G_d who never changes His mind. You call to anyone who will listen to come and be part of your Kingdom. May all who read this post be blessed and encouraged. I pray for my families, my law enforcement officers, my teachers, my preachers, my city of Stacy, my state of Minnesota, and my USA. In your hands, I commit my day in Jesus’ name.
His foundation is on the holy mountain.
The LORD loves the gates of Zion
More than all the dwellings of Jacob (Israel).
Glorious things are spoken of you,
O city of God [Jerusalem] (Psalms 87:1-3).
Even the very best foundation laid by mankind pales in comparison to the Kingdom of G_d and the children who rest on His foundation. The world will take what does not belong to it and gives a paltry reward for our labor. G_d offers salvation from the struggles of this world and showed the pathway by His son Jesus. When our faith is established in Zion, the city of David, no matter what we go through, it will be said: “This one and that one were born in her” And the Almighty Himself will be his/her foundation (Psalms 87:5-6). We will not have to point it out, it will shine through even the darkest of times.
Thank you for the foundation that was built by Jesus the first son of Righteousness and the king of Salem. I desire to always stand on this foundation in all that I do. I pray for my families, my law enforcement officers, my military, my city of Stacy, my state of MN, and my USA. May righteousness once again be established in the USA not that we would be great but that you would reign in all things and in every situation.
Unto you, I lift up my eyes,
O You who are enthroned in the heavens!
Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master,
And as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress,
So our eyes look to the LORD our God,
Until He is gracious and favorable toward us.
Be gracious to us, O LORD, be gracious and favorable toward us,
For we are greatly filled with contempt.
Our soul is greatly filled
With the scoffing of those who are at ease,
And with the contempt of the proud [who disregard God’s law] (Psalms 123).
The rhetorical question we need to ask ourselves daily is, “Where does my help come from” (Psalms 121:1)? if the answer to our question is anything but “from the Lord”, we can be sure that we succeed, “pride will puff up in our heart” and if we fail, “it’s because G_d didn’t want me to have it anyway”. Walking in faith does not mean you will not experience troubles and trials. Consider Peter’s testimony “you are the Christ the son of the Living G_d” and Jesus’ response “Blessed [happy, spiritually secure, favored by God] are you, Simon son of Jonah because flesh and blood (mortal man) did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (death) will not overpower it [by preventing the resurrection of the Christ]. I will give you the keys (authority) of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth will have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth will have [already] been loosed in heaven.”
There is no other foundation by which a man may build on except for the one built on Jesus the Son of the Living G_d.” I want no other foundation in my life except the one laid by Master Carpenter. In every situation help me to trust in you and put your first in my life always. I pray for my families, my law enforcement officers, EMTs, teachers, ministers, my city of Stacy, the state of MN, and my USA. May your peace be upon this nation today and always.
My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?
Why are You so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?
O my God, I call out by day, but You do not answer;
And by night, but I find no rest nor quiet.
But You are holy,
O You who are enthroned in [the holy place where] the praises of Israel [are offered].
In You, our fathers trusted [leaned on, relied on, and we’re confident];
They trusted and You rescued them.
They cried out to You and were delivered;
They trusted in You and were not disappointed or ashamed (Psalms 22:1-5).
Sin has a diabolical nature. When the sin is first conceived, it makes total sense why the individual should act on it. yet, once it is implanted or acted on, its tentacle-like roots grow deep in the heart of mankind. At the onset, sin tells the man, “You have a reason for this” and, “you know it is only once and you can always go back and repent”. However, sin has no intention of letting its prey go free because sin is a seed of the Devil’s mind and doesn’t care who it hurts or how they feel about it. Sin separates us from fellowship with the Lord and with His family. We can always go back but, it will not be easy nor will it sit well in our Spirit sort of like the young man in Luke 15.
Sin is diabolical just like its Father the Devil. it doesn’t care about me, how I feel, or the tears I cry. Help me to always keep this in mind in all that I do so that I never have a reason to feel defeated or afraid. May your Good Spirit guide me, my families, my military, my Law Enforcement Officers, my EMTs, my teachers, my ministers, my city of Stacy, my state of MN, and my USA. Please guide us eternal Father through the messes of our world today in you commit my life.
Cast your burden on the LORD [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail).
But You, O God, will bring down the wicked to the pit of destruction;
Men of blood and treachery will not live out half their days.
But I will [boldly and unwaveringly] trust in You (Psalms 55:22-23).
Undoubtedly, two of the easiest things for mankind to do are: believe a lie and complain. A person who is skilled at lying can make the lie look exactly like the truth with the exception of a few outliers. When we are told a lie and we act on it, we feel like “we have been violated” especially when the lie is found out. Complaining is easy because it doesn’t require any thought, simply open the mouth and speak against a perceived issue. When the king presented this prayer to the Lord, we are not told what G_d said to him in reply and but when we look back on the events of our lives and how the Lord has excoriated our anger and then, after we calmed down, helped us to see both sides of the equation. It is for this reason that the last two paragraphs are included in the prayer not for David to make himself look good but to change the course of our thoughts so that we can find peace in the midst of troubles.
Thank you for always changing the course of my thoughts and helping me to see both sides of the equation. I cannot change other people’s minds but I change mine. For this reason, help me to live to honor you in all that I do. I pray for my families, friends, law enforcement officers, EMT staff, teachers, ministers, the city of Stacy, the state of Minnesota, and my USA. May you guide me in all that I do.
All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship;
All those who go down to the dust (the dead) will bow before Him,
Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.
Posterity will serve Him;
They will tell of the Lord to the next generation.
They will come and declare His righteousness
To a people yet to be born—that He has done it [and that it is finished] (Psalm 22:29-31).
The day Jesus died, he left a completed project and that was, “the salvation of the few who would spread the message to the many billions”. In this way, the eternal light of Jesus would ignite lives throughout history. In a way, it is like the “breaking of bread” and drinking the wine (1 Corinthians 11:23-32) because, a part of Jesus’ ministry and given to each of us to reach lives for Christ Jesus. Life is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11) and once that life is in us, the course and direction of our life change and we have a renewed purpose no longer is Mike Krier simply acting on his prejudices and bias but his eyes on the Lord his Commander. My Prayer for you today is that you will accept the body and blood of Christ so that you can be effective in your life and be purpose-driven.
Thank you for my readers, for my families, friends, law enforcement officers, EMT staff, Teachers, Ministers, and workers for the kingdom, my city of Stacy, my state of Minnesota, and my USA. I pray that this word ministers to all who come upon this message. May your grace guide me in all that I do.
